We've all been there: stood in the club with a luke-warm Red Stripe, giving more consideration to what we're going to get from Maccies on the way home than the lo-fi house track which feels like it's been playing for eternity. In a time where club culture seems over-saturated with trendy, minimalistic beats it's all too easy to forget what EUPHORIA feels like. Luckily, we’re here to change all that.
After School Club is a Leeds-based party committed to bringing back the sheer, unhinged euphoria of the school disco. We encourage party-goers to leave their adult inhibitions at the door, grab some complimentary Flying Saucers and party like its Y2K.
For our second edition we've invited PC Music royalty Danny L Harle to headline. The leading authority in euphoric party bangers, Danny was the first in his scene to achieve mainstream success when his hit «Broken Flowers» made the Radio 1 A-list back in 2016. After exporting the once-niche subgenre to the masses, Danny has gone onto work with pop heavyweights such as Charli XCX, Carley Rey Jepsen and Chic's Nile Rogers. Today, «Huge Danny» is nothing less than a pop star in his own right and his set will promise a mix of bubble-gum pop and happy hardcore seamlessly blended with his own material, both old and new.
Also on the bill we have local legend Ben Suff Donk; one of the key figures in cult rave squad Off Me Nut, Ben is an absolute weapon behind the decks. His single Checkout Riddim proves that he can put a donk on absolutely anything, even the automated voice of a Tesco self-scanner. Expect to be bouncing your feet off during this set.
We're going to have some more exciting DJs, performers and very special guests to be announced during the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled. As usual sweets and treats will be handed out at the door and we'll have some exclusive merch as well.
Party safe and be nice to one another. No bigots please. If someone’s causing a nuisance don’t hesitate to grab a member of Sheaf Street’s security team and let them know.
